Lakeland - LAKELAND — India-born Rinku Singh earned his first professional victory when the Pirates stopped the Tigers 10-5 in the second game of a doubleheader Monday.

Singh struck out the only batter he faced but it was enough to become the first from his country to win a game in America.

Singh and Dinesh Patel were signed by the Pirates last fall after appearing on an Indian reality TV show called “Million Dollar Arm.”
