Former SFA Fullback Fatally Shot Over the Weekend
The Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel (http://www.championshipsubdivisionnews.com http://www.dailysentinel.com/news/content/news/stories/2009/06/29/crime_shooting_folo_063009.html) is reporting that former Stephen F. Austin fullback Michael Motte was fatally shot over the weekend after leaving a local barbecue establishment. Nickevette Ronshondo Carey, a 20-year old man was charged with capital murder in connection with the murder.
Motte played for the Lumberjacks from 2003 until 2007, earning the position of starting fullback and on two occasions being named All-Southland Conference.
