Who did you vote to the 2009 MLB All Star game? Did you vote more than once; have you voted at all? Are you a homer, or do you vote for the best player, regardless of team?
I just voted, here are the rosters I came up with. They're not perfect (Griffey was a sentimental choice), but I tend to spread out my votes over a few players:
AL:
1B - Mourneau (MIN)
2B - Hill (TOR)
SS - Jeter (NYY)
3B - Longoria (TB)
C - Mauer (MIN)
OF - Bay (BOS)
OF - Suzuki (SEA)
Griffey - (SEA)
NL:
1B - Pujols (STL)
2B - Utley (PHI)
SS - Ramirez (FLA)
3B - Wright (NYM)
C - Molina (SF)
OF - Braun (MIL)
OF - Hawpe (COL)
OF - Ibanez (PHI)

Hey I said he was a sentimental choice. Honestly, he's doing better than I expected, so I gave him some love.

1B - Youkilis (BOS) Close race between him and Morneau, but I go with Youk because of the OBP thats 51 points higher.
2B - Pedroia (BOS)
SS - Scutaro (TOR)
3B - Longoria (TB)
C - Mauer (MIN)
OF - Bay (BOS)
OF - Suzuki (SEA)
OF - Crawford (TAM)

Ill give you Youkilis - he and Mourneau are prety close. However, I can't vote in Pedroia over Hill, who leads him (considerably in some) in almost every statistical category.
Hill: .304 BA 15 HR 45 RBI .340 OBP .479 SLG .820 OPS
Pedroia: .290 BA 2 HR 28 RBI .375 OBP .382 .757 OPS

Runs - Pedroia 52 Hill 43
Doubles - Pedroia 20 Hill 10
SBs - Pedroia 12 Hill 2
BB/K - Pedroia 35/19 Hill 18/46
Its not as one sided as it would appear from the stats you posted... Pedroia also has a slight advantage on defense.

I'll give Pedroia the edge of defense, but I think homeruns, RBI, and OPS contribute more directly to wins that most of those stats, except runs. Now the twelve run difference may seem disparate, but their AL ranks (Pedroia - 2; Hill - 6) are close in relation.
Interestingly enough, Pedroia leads Hill by approximately 1,000,000 million votes according to a list released today; Ian Kinsler is the leading 2B for the AL.

he had a mini slump, but looks to have broken out of it going 5-10 with 3 doubles in his last two games.

I dont share your Yaddi Molina love OSBF!! McCann is hitting close towards .330 has more HRs in less time...now for defense, there is no comparison and I know that!

Whats wrong with the McCann pick? His stats stack up against any catcher in the NL

Molina (Y) is the best defensive catcher the game of baseball has ever seen. Anything he hits over 225 is gravy. No-one even tries to run on him anymore. His defensive ability changes games. I forget the exact stat service I was looking at, but in 2006 Yoda (the wise one) had the best defensive year (statisticly) of any catcher ever in the history of the game, and it was by a wide margin. He's hitting 270 something last time I checked. That's good enough for me.

McCann's stats put him on a Hall of Fame pace given the position he plays. If he can maintain his current production for 6-10 more years he'll be a cinch HOF. I highly doubt anybody would say that about Molina.
BTW, Johnny Bench is the best catcher of my lifetime with Ivan Rodriguez second.

OK, who has the lowest "catcher" ERA?
Who has more pick-offs?
Who has the best caught stealing %?
Tough for Yoda to accumulate stats anymore, no one even tries to steal on him anymore, I think he had the fewest steal attempts against him of any catcher in 07 and 08. Ya can't catch 'em if they aren't tryin'.
