1) Will you be getting rid of the old press box on the right hand side when it's done??

2) When will construction start on the new seating in between the current grandstand on the left and the big old frame you're working on??

1)I haven't heard for sure about the old press box, I think they will keep it for the time being, maybe use it for cameras??? I'd imagine they would tear it down if they ever expanded the north bleachers.

2) I saw in a few of the construction pics in one of the other threads that they are pouring some of the supports for the new seats now, but not sure if they will install them before the '09 season begins or not. My guess is not. I know they have a lot to do for the new concourse that will be underneath them (restooms, concessions, souvie booth) so it may be easier to do that work without the seats above them.

I believe the old box will stay. Not sure about the construction timeframe.

Also note the taped off area of the stadium, this area is rumored to be sinking. Hopefully this will be considered safe or fixed before the season begins.

Just thinking logically I would assume if they were going to tear down the old press box they would have and replaced it with the new, the point of building on the other side is because they are keeping the old one....

The old press box will probably stay for a year or two. Eventually I think it will be torn down to even out that side of the stadium. The new stadium seating will be framed in during the coming season but won't be ready until the start of the 2010 season.

Stablization on the old side is in the works too. This will be a pretty good looking place.

I don't think you could put the seats any closer to the field. I'm a little surprised they aren't removing a few rows to widen the sidelines.

Looks like it's primed to go to an upper deck when needed. Are they adding a deck next to the new pressbox? It's hard to tell from the pic.

No the pressbox/suites will extend the entire length of the field. Seat will be added to the space between the building and the existing seats.

The roped off area is because of a sinkhole that has damaged thoses seats. i was down there the other day and that is what i was told. I hope they have those fixed by football season because that is the band seats and the students section that is messed up

Not trying to be a smart arse.....but your attendance has been about 8,000 to 11,000 the last few years....it has been widely said that your President insists on going to FBS ASAP. Is that your understanding?

Also....is part of that 7 story structure dorms? I thought when I was on one of your message boards that that was what some of the fans or students said.
