Could be. The Tide is still afraid to play in-state FCS teams or Troy or UAB for that matter. What gives?

A story in the Birmingham News today confirms the Auburn-Jacksonville State game will be played in 2012 or 2013. It also mentions JSU's future schedules including games with Georgia Tech, Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Florida, and Kansas State. The most interesting line in the story, however, was this:

"(Coach) Crowe said the (Auburn) matchup particularly helps his school which plans to move to Division I-A (FBS)."

BTW, Samford is on the Auburn schedule in 2011. The game is also to commemorate the 40th year anniversary of Coach Pat Sullivan's winning of the Heisman trophy. xnodx
