No Chris Brown still from Sam Houston State?

NFL Draft Scout has him as a 7-FA selection...among other sites that lists him. Draft Scout has him at top 25 at his position - though he's listed as a LB.

Wofford WR Andy Strickland was signed as a free agent by the Jags.

He is not 7-FA anymore. He will continue to drop down their list. As I have said on here before they acquire the rankings from the NFL scouting services to build their summer ratings so you will continue to see him fall. Expect to see others like Leroy Vann, Terrell Hudgins, etc. fall a good bit as well.

Posted the thread on it yesterday here http://www.anygivensaturday.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60525

Congrats to Andy! I figured he might get a deal. That is great news! xthumbsupx

Just because he transferred from Texas doesnt mean he is going to the next level. His stats are ok, but not eyepopping to me.. 2 years (20 games)

115 tackles, 18 TFL, 14 sacks

Good athlete with speed. Could be a an outside LB in a 3-4, but hasnt played any 3-4 schemes that I know of in college. Definitely not at SHSU.

They convert players all the time in the NFL from DE to LB or vice-versa. The Jason Babin experience in Houston did not work out, but there are plenty of examples around the NFL of those that have...

Here is the big thing that I think people should know. I have had access to information before NFLDraftScout and have seen many of these guys play. If you look at their rankings you are starting to see players such as Andre Roberts move up to where he belongs and see guys like Ducasse, Mutcher, etc. moving up. You will see many more players move up and down on their ratings over the next month or so.

Phil Matusz is really getting interest? He just seems like an undersized 2 gap to me

He is not on the NFL watch lists from what I heard but I know there are some teams giving him looks. I think the LB is the best prospect Villanova has though.

Osayi is a beast.. I just hope he's fast enough. The incoming Junior class at Villanova is the one to watch though.. Terrence Thomas, Marquis Kirkland and Ben Ijalana are all monsters.

McCarty from Albany will be interesting. He has said numerous times that he is committed to the Marines after he graduates in December. I'm wondering if he'll put off the signing until he has vetted the pro football avenue. I think he'll get a shot at a tryout or two as a FA.

Osayi is definitely a solid player. I think he will be a free agent. Ijalana is a stud. Not surprised at all that none of the NFL Draft websites even have him on the radar. Ijalana is a beast and could be a top 200 draft pick, if he continues to develop.

He'll probably have to kick inside to guard if he makes it to the NFL since he's only about 6-4.. but that might be a more natural fit for him because he is definitely a roadgrader. He'd be a great addition to a team that likes to run straight ahead and batter its opponents at the line. He could even be a swing backup.

I am not sure he is fast enough to play in the NFL anyway. Might be in his best interest to go to the Marines. He is a heck of a FCS back but just lacks the burst and top end speed for the NFL.

Agreed. Ijalana is a likely right guard or right tackle at the next level.
