FCS on current CFL Rosters

The CFL has begun pre-season games, so i ran down the list of each team's rosters to see how many FCS player's each team had..

Some notable names include: Ricky Santos and David Ball of UNH, Travis Lulay of Montana State, Jay Luca of Southeastern Louisiana and Chris Thompson of Nicholls...

Saskatchewan - 16
British Columbia - 15
Calgary - 14
Edmonton - 13

Darell Adams Villanova- Starting DT for Hamilton. I believe he led them in sacks last year

Starters in Edmonton include last year's Buck Award Greg Peach from Eastern Washington. Peach has moved to the outside and is starting at defensive end.

Additionally Mark Restelli, a four year starter at Cal Poly, is now a starter at weakside linebacker (WIL) at Edmonton.

In their first game the starting running back, Jesse Lumsden went down with an injury. It is now expected that Arkee Whitlock from Southern Illinois will be activated from the practice squad and will probably get the start next week at running back.

Whitlock, Peach, and Restelli are all rookies in the CFL !!!
