The Bulldogs don't get many transfers, but a local kid has decided to return home. Mason Wald, a FS for the Cornhuskers, will play for Pat Sullivan at Samford. Wald, who will be a Soph, played in all 13 Nebraska games and was used primarily on special team coverages. He prepped at nearby Vestavia High School, and was a class 6-A All-State player who was also chosen Birmingham Super All-Metro. Wald was rated a 2-Star Rivals player, who was known for his ferocious hits. He was also recruited and had offers from South Florida, Duke, and Kansas State.

Nice pickup. Good to add a vet to the young team. Not that I like you getting more defensive help.
