I must say I am surprised New England tops Manchester United in the world wide voting.

Here is a map at the time this is posted. Click link below to see up to date numbers.

The Lakers have been to 6 finals this decade... that is pretty impressive and may win their 4th title... this week

Hate to say it but I'd go with the Pats....3 Super Bowls, been to a fourth and they've been the favorite or at least on the short list going into every year since 2001.

Tough call with the other two....Wings to me had too many first-round exits and right now still only have two titles and Lakers had a three-year stretch where they weren't all that relevant.

The RedWings are pretty consistent. They've won their division all but one year this decade, have two Stanley Cups and may be a day away from a third, not to mention the two more they won in the 90s.

The Patriots are now 3-0 in Superbowls where they've cheated and 0-3 in Superbowls where they didn't.

I'm more impressed with the RedWings.

I'm not surprised at the worldwide vote. I'd guess that most of ESPN.com's readers from outside the US are ex-pats and otherwise out-of-the-country Americans xtwocentsx

If we're counting 2000-2009 as the "last decade," the trophy tally is:

Detroit Red Wings: 2 Stanley Cups (1 win away from a 3rd), 3 Finals Appearances

Los Angeles Lakers: 3 NBA Titles (looking on their way to a 4th), 6 Finals Appearances

Manchester United: 6 Premier League, 1 FA Cup (3 Finals), 1 Champions League (2 Finals)

New England Patriots: 3 Super Bowl Titles, 4 Appearances
