It will be interesting to see what kind of impact Tyler Maples will have at Furman. I'm guessing he will be a very good addition. A couple of excerpts from the DailyTimes article, click on the link to read the entire post.
Quarles said he expects Maples to make an immediate impact on Furman's offense.
"He will instantly make them better. He'll be able to get on the field really quick. He's wanting to have that opportunity, so he'll have that quick," said Quarles, who played wide receiver for the Paladins in 1987-88.
"Believe it or not, I told him the pros and cons with Furman," Quarles said of his alma mater. "It's not a perfect place, by any stretch, but it's a good place. I was very careful not to steer him one way or the other. I was kind of the liaison, I guess, between him and those coaches.
"I tried to be as objective as possible and just give him a pretty good understanding of what he was getting into."
