Interim AD named at Alcorn

Brenda Square has been named interim director of athletics, Alcorn State president George Ross announced today. Square worked as chief of staff and executive assistant to the president prior to her new appointment.

After reading the second sentence, I didn't have a good feeling about it. She does have AD experience from Clark Atlanta and Southern (didn't know she was there), so it's not all bad.

She's going to need a lot of help straightening out things in Lorman.

Just an interim AD...was interim at Southern too...

They moved really quickly to find an interim, as "Square replaces Darren Hamilton, who resigned last week to accept the same position at Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C. "

The previous AD was there roughly a year. They need to find someone long-term and who can fundraise.
