Robberies on Cleveland Avenue happen more frequently than the University would like. This is obviously not good, but not uncommon either.

EDIT: I read it too fast. It says "altercation". Well, those happen a lot on Cleveland too. The fact he was "uncooperative" isn't good. I guess we'll wait until the details come out before we speculate.

UD football player stabbed in Newark

A 22-year-old man, identified by police only as a University of Delaware football player, was injured Saturday night when he was stabbed during an altercation.

Newark police spokesman Cpl. Gerald Bryda said police were called to Christiana Hospital in response to a report that a stabbing victim was being treated there.

I don't wish that on anyone. I hope it works out for him and it doesn't cause the kid further problems. Living in the hood is a different life.
