Former Cowboy Michael Irvin talks with reporters Thursday.

EXCLUSIVE: (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/120305dnspoirvin.1c0ca92c.html) For a week, Michael Irvin has been telling the world that the drug pipe found in his car when he was pulled over for speeding belonged to someone else. In an exclusive interview with The Dallas Morning News, a man who identified himself as Irvin's friend said he owned the pipe. "All you have to do is check it for fingerprints. Mine have to be all over it." said the man, whom The News is identifying as "T." The man provided his full name and date of birth to The News so that his identity could be confirmed but asked that his full name not be used.

Suuuure it was. And Mike only paid him $2500 to say that. It may have been his pipe but it was in the car for a reason. Unfortunately for Michael, old habits are proving hard to break.

Maybe you should report what you saw to the proper authorities.

Why didn't he take a drug test then?

ESPN never asked because the FACT's didn't warrent a TEST.
If the police didn't think he was under the influence of drugs, why do you think ESPN should have thought that. He only got a speeding ticket.

Face it ......................Micheal could have had the POPE, Video, and the Police Cheif with him, confirming what he said and some people would still be saying .............rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright. xlolx

Well then why wouldn't he just take a drug test to shut people up? He had nothing to lose, right?

I really don't know what to believe. But the bottom line is that Irvin is taking a PR hit regardless of whose pipe it is. It may well be his friend's. But being a "friend" of Michael Irvin doesn't carry a whole lot of credibility IMHO.

Think that pipe would sell on eBay, and if so, how much?

Besides ............What good would it do him to take and pass a drug test. Ya'll would be here saying athelete's know how to cheat a test. xlolx

Ok let's give Mike the benefit of the doubt--> He did not know it was there when the cops found it. My question is this. Based on his history and his proclomation that he is fighting his addiction(s) why would he even let someone bring that into his car at all? It is an invitation for this exact situation and he is paying a high price for more bad judgement.

I'm not a fan of MI at all (mainly because he used to play for the Cowbitches and I'm a Deadskin fan)....but if he were indeed under the influence, then he would have been given more than just a speeding ticket. Innocent until proven guilty, and association with a druggie does not prove guilty either.
