Texas and Boston College are going to the Top of the 21st

The Texas relef pitcher threw 13IP and didn't allow a hit until his 12th inning.

The BC pitcher went 9 2/3 and allowed 3H.

Insane game. I've been watching since the 8th inning.

This game is going on about 6 hours.

Nice to see kids pitching their hearts out. Some of those Major Leaguers made ungodly amounts of money should be watching that. This is how baseball is meant to be played.

Of course some idiot will accuse the coach of abusing the pitcher's arm ...

They just showed the highlight of the RBI single on ESPNU. The kid with the RBI was 1-for-11 in the game. Texas has three runs on 20 hits.

You've got to wonder what these two teams will have left after this one is over.

Army could end up being the benefactor of all of this. The Cadets could end up winning this regional.

Head: Texas will be fine. They only used 3 pitchers.

And yea, but thankfully they play Army.

Augie Garrido says that was the best pitching performance he has seen in his 41 years of baseball.

Garrido's background in the NCAA baseball tournament actually goes even farther back than that. He was a key member on the Fresno State team that placed third in the College World Series in 1959 (50 years ago). One of his teammates that year was Leroy Gregory (my high school baseball coach), who went on to pitch and pinch-hit for the Chicago Cubs. If Augie says it, I believe it. He knows his stuff and was schooled in baseball by one of the all-time best coaches, Pete Beiden. I'm guessing that 41 years is how many years Garrido has been coaching.
