Lakers or Magic, who do you think will win?

I'll pick the Lakers, but I'll be rooting for the Magic, and wouldn't be surprised to see them win.

I am a Magic Fan, and will be the homer and first person to pick the Magic.

I'll go with the law of averages which reflects the lack of parity in the NBA. There's been 7 different champions in 25 years and only 1 non repeat winner, the Heat. With that said the Lakers win in 5.

I hate to say, Lakers in 5.....Magic will have a tough time with some of the matchups and I can't see them overcoming a good team and the refs two rounds in a row. If they thought the calls on LeBron we're bad, wait til they see what Kobe gets.

The only tough matchup for the Magic is guarding Kobe. Everything else favors the Magic (Pau vs. Hedo or Rashard will be tough for the Magic to defend Pau, but Pau won't be able to keep up with either of them.)
I think this goes 6 or 7 games, with the home team clinching the series at home. Magic in six, or Lakers in seven. But I am picking the Magic, both as a homer, and based on the matchups.

Game 6 would be in LA I believe, so Magic need to do it in five to clinch at home

Orlando won both games these teams played in the regular season.
With that said... I'm picking the Lakers in 7.

Edit: It's 2-3-2 So I guess 6 would be in LA. My bad.

Kobe gets his 4th ring and his first without a second legit star on the team - a rare thing for anyone to do.

Don't feel too bad. Courtney Lee went to my alma mater. So I'm picking the Magic everytime. Never liked the Lakers. So this one is VERY EASY.

Lakers start with the blowout win. Probably be a closer game 2 though.

Kobe = The Man. Don't see anyway he lets the Lakers lose this year.

This is BS. This poll was 2-1 in favor of Orlando a few days ago. Gil, you forgot to put in an end date for the poll. xnonox

For the record, I voted for the Lakers when voting for the Lakers wasn't cool, like 89.
Do we get a prize?

It was 10-10 at one time, so it must have been when Orlando was up 2-1 when Orlando was up 2-1. ;)

Maybe it was 5-10 when I voted. :p I just remember being surprised how many people were picking the Magic.

I think there is some anti-Laker sentiment that slanted the vote. If money was involved, more may have picked LA.

I'd call it a sloppy but exciting game....one of the worst closing jobs I've seen in the last minute of regulation by the Magic, but two great shots by Fisher. He's moving pretty close to the Horry category if he's not there already.

If no NBA players would have gotten injured this season....the Finals WOULD have been...
Rockets v. Celtics.

Yao Ming's free-throws wouldn't have been enough to keep the Rockets in the game. ;)

That 16-0 2nd qtr run just buried the Magic, they were done right there. Congrats to Kobe, Phil & the squad.

Kobe is a whiney spoiled brat. But damn he can play. Really wish it would have been Lebron vs. Kobe because the outcome may have been different (i.e. at least 6 games instead of just 5) but it's all just speculation. Maybe next year.
