Congrats Appy.

Texas State won the SLC Commish Cup for the 5th time, and the All Woman's sports cup for the 9th consecutive (11th overall) time. Our Male teams continue to struggle.

but still.........

"All 29 of Appalachian’s Commissioner’s Cup titles have come since 1977-78, giving it 29 of the past 32 all-sports crowns overall. ASU’s 29 Commissoner’s Cups are by far the most in SoCon history — William & Mary boasts the second-most at five, followed by East Carolina (four) and Chattanooga, East Tennessee State and Furman (one each)."

.......isnt that just a little out of control?!?!xrolleyesx:Dxlolxxnodx:D

Nah, we can't let that happen. Unfortunately ASU, FU, and GSU need each other too much. We can't depend on any other teams bringing fan support to our stadiums.

How bout commending App for maintaining 20 varsity sports (might be 22 soon) without even having to discuss dropping a single one? xthumbsupx

Also, props to Sammy for finishing a close 3rd in the women's standings in their first year. They were 1st after the winter sports.

FYI, App has won 8 Germann Cup's. Furman has won 12 (all in a row from 93-04), CofC two and Nooga one.

Pardon the ignorance.... What's the difference between the Commissioners cup and the Germann cup?

Commisioner's is for men's sports, Germann is for women's.

What 2 sports might App be adding? Please say men's and women's lacrosse.

Commisioner's is for men's sports, Germann is for women's.

That is interesting.

In the SLC we have a All-Men's trophy, All-Women's trophy, and the Commish cup is for the school with the highest over point total.
