CUBBIES!

What do you think of Lou talkin' 'bout moving Soriano back to 2B and putting Micah Hofbauer out in LF in an effort to get more big bats in the line up?

It doesn't matter. Nothing the Cubs do will ever make them anything more than the all-time joke of Major League Baseball.

6 postseason appearances since the end of WWII is hardly perennial.

Every team can have a bad year, or decade, or century.

It's all about championships, plain and simple, nothing else matters. The Sox have one that people that are still alive can remember, the Cubs don't. For that, they deserve respect and due credit.

2008 Los Angeles Dodgers NLDS 0-3

2007 Arizona Diamondbacks NLDS 0-3

2003 Atlanta Braves NLDS 3-2
Florida Marlins NLCS 3-4

That would be three postseason appearances and a 6-12 postseason record in past decade. Not much to get excited about.

What is does is makes the Cub franchise look silly by emphasizing its utter irrelevance for more than 50 years. The Cubs have merely managed to improve from profound futility to moderate futility.

NL Champs 2x and a World Championship. Not exactly a record of futility. And that's just in the last half decade.

Only the Yankees have more World Championships than the Cardinals. So keep coming back with that weak stuff, Cubby. You've got nothing.

You certainly seemed to care about it enough in your previous posts. Just like a typical Cubs fan. You jump on the bandwagon on those extremely rare occasions when the Cubs win but slink back into your Cubby hole as soon as they don't.
