Appalachian's Moore just having fun
By the time Appalachian State’s caravan arrives in Greenville to open the football season on Sept. 5 against East Carolina, Jerry Moore will have turned 70.
The Mountaineers’ coach doesn’t look his age and certainly doesn’t act it.
Upon entering the N.C. Sports Hall of Fame in a class of six that otherwise included only Tar Heel natives last week, Moore wanted the ceremonies to move at pace often associated with his team’s quick-strike offensive attack.
