Who will win the AL Batting Title?
The biggest hurdle is Mauer and Youkilis need the required amount of plate appearances.

Martinez .409
Youkilis .393

Mauer will get the PAs and win his third batting title. He's just hitting unbelievably since coming back. It looks like his power is finally coming, too--he's got, what, six HRs already?

Good to see Mauer hitting with some power this year. There are people selling M & M buttons around here for Mauer and Morneau.

Great game by Morneau last night, though that strikeout was ugly. And Mauer nearly hit two more homers. They could both be on their way to career years, which is saying a lot when you're talking about those two guys.

I loved watching those two come up through Rochester! (Well at least I went to the one three-game series Mauer played there haha). But they need some more help in that lineup fast, the performance with RISP this week at NYY was awful.

I was watching the Rays game the other night and (I think I heard this right) the commentator said that from the All-Star break of last year through the first forty or so games of this season that Jason Bartlett has the highest batting average in the AL during that span. He is currently hitting .384 this season.

I'm a Tiger fan in Twins territory, so I don't feel sorry for the Twins fans if the Tigers make the playoffs. :D
