What's left for Estes at Brown after finally winning an outright Ivy title? He has to be a dark horse, though, with all those Texas-related names on the list. Harbaugh must want out of USD pretty badly: he's been on just about every list for every open coaching job this year.

I think Rice would be a culture shock for Sewak due to their draconian academic requirements. When Jerry Berndt was head coach there in the '80's, he often complained that the top 100 prospects in Texas were all "off-limits" because they seldom met the admission requirements. Let's face it, he'll be recruiting an entirely different kind of kid at Rice. Was Sewak at the Naval Academy with Johnson (when he was OC) in the mid '90s? If so, that would help.

One guy I think could do well at Rice (relatively speaking of course) is Paul Johnson at Navy. However, at this time, I'd consider Rice a downgrade from the Navy job.l

My thoughts exactly. However, the last Ivy coach they hired, Jerry Berndt from Penn, couldn't perform the same magic twice. He resurrect a horrible Penn program, but did no better than 4-7 at Rice before eventually taking the Temple job.
