How awesome is Mark Martin? He was flawless the last 40 laps on worn tires. He's been my guy ever since Rusty retired.

BTW, Jr. is the most overrated athlete in the world. The guy can't get out of his own way. His career is headed by way of Kyle Petty.

Hey atleast Kyle ran consistently in the top 10 in points in his prime xlolxxlolxxlolxxlolx

Hendrick has an interesting dilema coming next season....

Kesselowski will be in Sprint Cup full time and Hendrick has no seat for him with Martin deciding he wants another full season in 2010...

He hsa a couple teams he works closely with where he could try sitting him like Stewart Haas, though its not certain wether Stewart wants to add a third car this quick...

Other options would be to have JR Motorsports expand to Sprint Cup and basically get everything from Hendrick for Kesselowski.

Another option which is more unlikely is Jeff Gordon could star up a seperate stable with Kesselowski as his first driver and start running a car in 2010 basically same deal as JR Motorsports, everything supplied by Hendrick.

Then in 2011 either JR or Jeff Gordon can find a new young driver to take over the car.

Kesselowski would be foolish to not get some deal done with Hendrick... It's a place he will get the best equipment from... In the end I see him driving a third car for Stewart in 2010 and then into the #5 in 2011.

How about what Tony Stewart has brought to the table at Stewart-Haas Racing. I am a big "Smoke" fan, but if someone would have told me he would be sitting #2 in points and Newman at #8, I would have shaken my head no. They have done a phenomenal job bringing an organization from nothing to where they are now.xthumbsupx

I never doubted Stewart would be running well... 2nd? perhaps not since he usually starts slow, but still good... Newman, he surprises me.

I'm as big a Junior fan as there is out there. I was a Senior fan since 1980 when I got to ride around Dover Downs with him in the Winston promo car.

That being said, I'm willing to concede that Junior is not what I hoped he would be and he has no more excuses. I wouldn't hold anything against Rick Hendrick if he didn't renew Junior's contract or even released him early. That team, and the driver, are a mess. I listen to them for four-plus hours twice a year on the radio at Dover, and all I hear is Junior bitching about the car and offering no insight to Eury into how to set it up properly. Conversely, when I listened to Senior for many years, he was always telling the crew chief exactly what the problem was and what the crew should be doing to the car. You can't teach that stuff. You're born with it, and Junior was not. The gene dropped out of the pool somewhere.
