Looks like we're already 0-1...


As the result of the Oct. 17 Michigan game, an unintended scheduling conflict arose with the MEAC schedule. As a result, DSU will default a game with North Carolina A&T that was also scheduled for Oct. 17. This will appear in the 2009 regular season standings as a loss for DSU and a win for North Carolina A&T.

All in all its a great schedule, and with the potential of this team and a *crosses fingers* win xeekx against UD, we could make some noise for a potential at-large berth in the playoffs. (If we go undefeated in MEAC play...or 7-1 in our case, If the chips fall in our favor, I think a 9-2 DSU squad would merit some consideration.

On a side note, this 9 game mandate is stupid. xoopsx

I enjoy your posts...and I am a DSU fan - make no mistake, UD first, but a DSU fan also; but have you seen the 2009 DSU squad? xeyebrowx

If DSU goes 9-2, you can PM me and I will not hesitate to give you $100 just for giggles. Hell, I would share a few drinks and steaks with you, go sailing with you, and pick up the tab. Book that.

As much as I would love to see UD-DSU every year as an opening playoff game (not as regular season game, which I see as a playoff eliminator), it will not happen this year. And, as iffy as UD's playoff chances might be - and I am one that thinks they have a good shot at making some noise - that is more DSU's issue than UD's. If DSU wins the MEAC, it will be from an entire collapse from the rest of the MEAC than from DSU's effort. Hey, it has happened before...but...

If DSU makes the playoffs, they will most likely be destroyed in the first round by whomever they play. They are just not set up to be that good this year.

Hey, I'd love to see DSU win the MEAC just to slap pie into NSU's helmets. As poorly as DSU handeled the situation, it came down to NSU throwing up the typical, "Oh NO you don't..." crap.

The MEAC deserves to rot in the feces of its own making. xnodx
