When you watch games at the HOF Stadium at Oklahoma City keep in the back of your mind that Blueballs put one over the scoreboard there in BP in Sept 2005...;)

Cal Poly has claimed the Big West title as well as the conference's automatic bid. Fullerton, 2nd in the conference, will hopefully get an at-large selection.

NDSU won the Summit auto-bid today, the Bison went 35-18 this year, which is not too bad for a team that had 5 home games this season.

Lehigh is representing the Patriot League with it's sweep of the Tournament this weekend. Fifth time in the last six years. Two years ago, the Mountain Hawks stunned Oklahoma State by beating the Cowgirls twice in the opening round regional. If our pitcher is 'on' the ladies can hang with anyone.xnodx

Good win for the Bobcats!
And Texas State University - San Marcos fan, UL-Lafayette prefers to go by Louisiana. You and them are brothers from another mother!

NDSU is mired in a rain delay with Oklahoma and is in a scoreless tie with them. Our pitcher, Padilla, pitched a no-hitter thru the first 8 innings.

Texas A&M beat Lehigh today, 1-0. Both pitchers pitched 4-hitters, but one of the Aggies' hits was a solo home run in the first inning. Lehigh had a couple opportunities but couldn't get the big hit on a couple of occasions. Mountain Hawks will play Florida A&M at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the elimination game. Texas A&M will play Florida.

What a great day for Lehigh Softball. Destroyed Florida A&M, 9-0 (5 innings), then knock out the Aggies, again. Mountain Hawks have to play #1 seed Florida and beat them twice to move on. I suspect Sweeney will pitch game one. She held Texas A&M to 3 hits today.

Cornell ends this season in the hands of Sacred Heart, 3-1.
Cal Poly is in the Palo Alto regional final with Stanford as they win over Portland State 5-0 (complete-game two-hitter by Anna Cahn, the first-ever softball NCAA Tournament win in Cal Poly history) and Nevada 6-1.
Fullerton wins over San Diego State 8-2 but Arizona State ends the Titans' season by shutting them out 7-0.

Congrats to Mississippi Valley State for beating Chatty 1-0. The Devilettes won an NCAA tournament game in 2004. They got Texas first and with a win, would play the host squad - Alabama.
Texas St-San Marcos fell to Baylor, after beating No. 12 Northwestern the day before. Plays La-Lafayette today. A win means two games against the host Bears.

Yep. She faced 95 batters over 25 innings in the 3 games and only allowed 3 earned runs and 11 hits. 11 strikeouts and 11 walks round out the stats.

They were saying on the radio the other day that now that Fresno State has done what many thought was rather impossible, everyone think they can do something. Figure while that's baseball, it somewhat applies to softball.

Lehigh's season ended against #1 Florida. The women hung tough trailing only 2-0 after 5 innings, but then the roof fell in. Missed a few chances early with some hits and girls in scoring position, but didn't take advantage. UF seems like a monster--.346 team BA!! They have four girls with double figure HRs.xrotatehx

UMass played hard before going down in the 15th inning. The game lasted all the way to 1:30 am local time. This is after they already played a game 30 mins before the 15 inning effort. All together both schools played 8 hours of softball and both pitchers threw way over 350 pitches. In the second game both pitchers went 15 innings and over 200 pitches. Prob the craziest softball game I ever watched at the end.

UT-Knoxville coach backhanded Lehigh with this qoute:
"Jacksonville State is a team that comes right at you," UT coach Ralph Weekly said. "Today, they were the best team on the field … That's a really tough 2 seed — it wasn't exactly a Lehigh."
