An air-supported roof over the Dallas Cowboys' practice field collapsed during a heavy thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, leaving 12 people injured, one critically, authorities said.
A photojournalist from CNN affiliate WFAA captured the collapse of the practice facility on Saturday.

About 70 people, including more than two dozen of the team's rookies, were in the facility when it was blown down shortly before 3:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. ET), team officials said...

That is sad for those involved. I know most of you hate my cowboys but this should be an incident to put those feelings aside. My prayers for the team, coaches and staffers.

This wasn't a major disaster or anything... Since no one is seriously injured, I kinda laugh at this story. My roommate and I couldn't figure out what they were talking about when the story broke.
"What kind of building is supported by air? They ever heard of bricks?"
"They practice in a bubble?!"

This wasn't a major disaster or anything... Since no one is seriously injured, I kinda laugh at this story. My roommate and I couldn't figure out what they were talking about when the story broke.

I'd call being paralyzed a bit serious.

But that's just me.

It would cost about 10x as much to build a traditional indoor practice facility.

These bubbles are quite common, but they are not safe in high winds/extreme weather.

Lots of teams practice in bubbles. Many of the clubs around here use them for tennis in the winter months. xpeacex
