OK by NO MEANS am I a fan of the NBA, but my stars, this series is the best the NBA has ever rolled out...7 OT periods, 4 games to OT, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce hitting just about every clutch shot that can be hit, and now some bad blood with Rondo/Miller/Hinrich...

I don't normally watch the NBA much, but I've tuned into this series to watch Rondo agitate and Bulls retaliate. It's like hockey. Basketball hasn't been this much fun since the Pistons of the late 80s/very early 90s.

I am an occasional NBA watch, I am in an NBA fantasy league. I usually pay more attention during the play-offs, and always the finals.
This was one of the best non-finals series I've ever seen.

It's been a great series, similar to a heavyweight title fight. However the Celtics will KO them this Saturday at the Garden.

Bulls beat Celtics in 3 OTs, force Game 7
By ANDREW SELIGMAN, AP Sports Writer
CHICAGO(AP) One more overtime thriller has the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics headed for a Game 7. Seems only fitting for this series.
Derrick Rose scored 28 points and blocked Rajon Rondo's potential game-winner, John Salmons scored 35, and the Bulls beat the defending champions 128-127 in triple overtime Thursday night to even the first-round series.
Ray Allen scored a career playoff-high 51 points for the Celtics, but it's back to Boston for Game 7 on Saturday night after another instant classic in a series that had already seen its share of drama.
Three of the first five games went to overtime, including a Game 4 that went two extra periods. Another came down to the wire in regulation, but this easily trumped them all.
Rondo penetrated and pulled up on the left block with 8 seconds left and turned, only to be rejected by Rose. The rookie of the year then missed two free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining, before Rondo launched a harmless heave from beyond midcourt.
That ended the game. The series, however, continues. ...http://www.nba.com/games/20090430/BOSCHI/recap.html

I haven't seen a series as highly contested and volatile since Bulls/Knicks or Knicks/Heat.

This basketball gods are compensating us in a major way for a lackluster March Madness. This has just been an unbelievable series.

I dont know if Id bet on that, the Celts have to be tired with their aging stars all playing 55+ minutes

Rondo should have been tossed again last night. What a dirty player.

The only reason it is a great series is because Garnett isn't playing. Otherwise it would have been the C's in 5.

Don't know about getting tossed, but he's the single reason I'm now rooting for the Bulls in this series. What a cheap-shot artist.

Oh yeah, what am I thinking. The NBA has an obligation of fixing the games to make the most money. Like in the Spurs/Suns series a couple years ago...dirty play by the Spurs....look who didn't get tossed and won the series.
I expect nothing but an over official'd game with every call going towards the C's and hence, more money to the NBA.

It is a great series, but I would still put the Lakers vs Celtics series of the 1980's, specifically the one Magic won with his baby skyhook. Also the Lakers vs Celtics of the late 1960's, West, Chamberlain, Baylor vs Russell, Jones, Jones etc.

Do you remember when Gorilla Monsoon could not talk, only grunt. They originally billed him as from the wilds of Mongolia.
And then he ends up being a broadcaster.
