Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana could be cutting sports as part of budget reductions.
While Nicholls will be moving forward with cutting women's golf, from the looks of it, SLU is awaiting to see what the state legislature does as far as any restoring of the proposed budget cuts to higher education. Southeastern, according to the recently released University of Louisiana system budget reduction plan will eliminate two sports at a saving of nearly $750,000.

I am really peeved with all these problems facing collegiate athletics, especially here in the "Cajun Corner". There's a lot more value to college athletics and I'm not sure people realize that.
