While Jermon Bushrod remains Towson's lone active National Football League player, wide receiver Tommy Breaux is lhoping to change that this weekend at the Washington Redskins' mini camp.

Despite not getting drafted this past weekend in the NFL draft, Breaux made a strong enough impression during his career and on pro day to warrant a final look for the Redskins as they round out their roster heading into the pre-season.

The Tigers' pro day was held on March 10, with six players performing outdoors on Unitas Stadium's FieldTurf for representatives from six NFL teams. Breaux (6-6 7/8, 199 pounds) ran the 40 in 4.51 and 4.47 seconds and had a 35 1/2-inch vertical and an 11-foot, 5-inch broad jump. He had a 4.38 short shuttle and a 7.16 three-cone drill, and his arms measured 36 1/2 inches.

He's definately a raw talent, but you have to think he's a great redzone target.

Great news! I thought he was an intriguing enough talent to potentially be late-round draftee. While clearly somewhat of an NFL project, his size and speed are intriguing.

Congratulations! xthumbsupx

He had an odd career at Towson coming out of a CC in Texas.
Redshirts his first year for football in 06, leads the basketball team in rebounds and blocked shots in 06/07, racks up 160 receiving yards against Morgan but breaks his ankle against UMass misses rest of the 07 season, misses 07/08 basketball season, gets hurt in first game of 08 against Navy misses next 5 games, finished last 5 games of 08 season with over 500 yds and 6 TDs, loses elligiblity in basketball after fall semester because NCAA wouldn't medical RS 07/08 basketball season
