Southland Nets Most Draft Picks of All FCS Conferences
FRISCO, Texas – Seven of the Southland Conference’s premier football talents found a professional home for the upcoming football season this weekend with the conclusion of the 2009 National Football League Draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York, N.Y. Four of the league’s players, the most among all NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) conferences, were among the 250-plus draftees while three of four undrafted players signed rookie free agent contracts.
