Boomer, Michael Smith, the women doing reports, EVERYONE is butchering the NFL Draft on TV...Producers are distracting everyone by talking in their ear, and I thought we were getting more Todd McShay and less Count Chocula

And keeping with the "butchering" theme, my Eagles just drafted another midget WR in the first round.

They have no decent TE and Pettigrew was there, they have no backup for the fragile Westbrook and Wells, Brown, McCoy etc were all there.

They never cease to amaze. xnonono2x

It's been terrible. Thankfully the Bears should get their one pick done before the Hawks start.

Want to take that back now?

As the other poster just said, the RB angle is sort of moot now that they got McCoy in the 2nd round (obviously, in retrospect, would've been silly to pick him with a 1st round seeing that he lasted that long), and the Eagles certainly think they have something in Celek at TE.

But as for Maclin, the guy is kinda like a DeSean Jackson clone. And now that the NFL doesn't allow the defense to touch WR's having two guys who are flat out burners like those two should make for a pretty good passing attack. Hard to fault the Eagles for picking a guy who should have went in the top 10.

I tend to agree GF. While Maclin isn't the 'big' target, I think Reid sees this kid being on the field with Jackson causing secondaries fits..I saw where the CBS Sportsline analysis gave the Birds an "A" for this pick. Of course, one never knows, but overall, think this pick was more toward Donovan's request to "give me more weapons".

No kidding! Thanks for poaching Maclin the year after you drafted his clone, DeSean Jackson. Poor Maclin though, by the time he fell to where he did it was either a matter of Andy Reid or Brad Childress ruining his career. Will you birdz fan be willing to take Ron Howard's evil twin back? We'll pay you? Please?!?!? Pretty please?!?!?!?

Just heard an interesting stat about this year's draft: through the first three rounds, no players from Miami have been chosen; but four players have been selected from Connecticut.

Well Miami is pretty much returning all of their starters, right? Not surprising in the least.

To me it just showed the change in the landscape of college football. I remember only a few years ago they would have multiple first round selections.

Was that Cosby interview the most awkward think that you have ever seen? They should have cut out of that much earlier.

Matt Stafford will be a bigger bust than Ryan Leaf.

Mel Kiper on the Bears:

Chicago Bears: GRADE: B

I think Jarron Gilbert is one of the steals of the draft. Wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias was a good pick, as were cornerback D.J. Moore and wide receiver Johnny Knox. Seventh-round pick Derek Kinder could turn out to be quite a sleeper if he's able to return to his strong level of play before his injury a couple of years ago.

I'm tired of the Bears drafting injured players. It's getting old

I wish it was a little more professionally done... so many mistakes and miss tosses... wrong images and unsure what to do next... embarrasing...
