ALBANY — UAlbany offensive tackle Raphael Nguti will be patient come this NFL draft weekend. His teammate, Chris Lynch, has to be, since a punter's draft usually begins after all teams have exhausted their picks.

....

Nguti, the 6-foot-7, 330-pound tackle, plans to watch the NFL draft as he always does: "It's my all-day spectacular." He'll be home in Rochester with family and friends, the grill fired up in the backyard.

Nguti's Saturday will be like any other draft day. But on Sunday, Day 2, things will get more tense for the lineman who could be a late-round selection or priority free agent.

"Starting in the sixth round, expectations will start to (rise) as the names come off," Nguti said. "Hopefully I'll hear my name earlier rather than later." For Lynch, there's little chance he'll hear his name called. He'll have to wait by the phone as all undrafted free agents do. "I'm excited to see what Sunday or Monday will bring," Lynch said.
