That's a great pickup for the Falcons. They pretty much have all the pieces in place on O. Now if their D can play ball they might make a deep playoff run.

I really thought the Chiefs would get more than a second rounder for one of if not THE best TE in NFL history who IMO still has 2-3 good years left. With this trade, the Falcons are another step further from the Michael Vick fall out. His disaster really put the franchise in a tough spot, but Arthur Blank and his staff have done a tremendous job in successfully rebuilding this team around an exiciting core group of offensive studs (Ryan, Turner, White, Gonzalez). I'm expecting them to focus on defense in this draft to shore up their depth issues in crucial positions.

I am really super excited to get him!!! matt ryan will love to have such a great inside threat to go with his speedy guys on the outside...

how many more years does tony have? isnt he starting to get up there in age?

Great deal for the Falcons! I'd think Gonzalez still has 2-3 elite years left.

I have a feeling the Chiefs will turn around quickly too, Pioli has obviously shown he knows what he's doing.

This is huge.. I think TG is going to become a better blocker as he gets older as well.. a la Bubba Franks

I like this move for both teams. The Chiefs are in full rebuilding mode. Pioli & BB covet 2nd round picks and for good reason. Although it's not a 2009 2nd rounder, this gets back the pick they gave up for Cassell.

Gonzalez has at least one and maybe even two years left of being an elite TE. He fills an immediate need for the Falcons who are poised to make a run at the playoffs (again).
