Course, we didn't hear that from every other golfer out there, including Angel Cabrera. Quit whining Sergio and learn to have humility like your fellow countrymen ... Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Olazabal.

A 75-74 weekend will make you say that. xlolx

Still, that was Sergio's best finish (38th) since 2004.

Spain is a nation of whiners. Why should Sergio be an exception?

Today...

"Following my final round at the Masters, I made comments in an interview that I regret and want to apologize for. Out of frustration, I blamed the golf course instead of putting the blame where it belongs, on myself.

I didn't get it done this week. Augusta National is one of the most iconic golf courses in the game and playing in the Masters each year is an honor. I apologize to the members of Augusta National and the fans who rightfully treasure this golf course."

Garcia appears to be a student of the David Duvall school of falling off the planet. xconfusedx

Nah, Sergio still has game.

It's called frustration from being labeled the best player never to win a major.

In this same vein...

I didn't even know he made the cut and didn't care.

Serg is sounding more like a Frenchman every day.

Garcia has plenty of talent but as I recall, is an incredibly slow player, gripping and re-gripping the club and wigwaggng numerous times before taking a shot. Didn't the PGA get after him about this? I wondered if that was why he seemed to struggle a bit more lately.

Sergio did manage to win the Players Championship last year and that's often considered the 5th major. He also finished T2 at the PGA last year. I'm by no means a Sergio fan but you can't call him a hack. He's only 28 and really hasn't reached his prime yet he has already accomplished a lot. He does have a poor track record in the Masters so his disdain for ANGC is not surprising.

I think Jack said something to him in a match play several years ago. From what I heard, Jack asked him to stop "milking the ball" as he addresses the ball. He did speed up after that and is a lot faster than he use bo be.
