OMG such a tragedy. I remember seeing him pitch against the Red Sox when he was in his prime.

RIP Mark, the game will miss you.

Well, they say these come in threes. That's number three from the baseball world in the last few days. I hope that is it for quite a while. RIP xsmhx

Tough off-season too with Kell, Blanchard, Pohlad and Tresh :(

Sad news to hear. One of my favorite sports moments was being at the Monday Night Baseball when he beat the Yankees. If my memory is right, he struck Reggie Jackson out four times. Tiger Stadium was going bananas. xnodx RIP.

I had the pleasure of watching Fidrych back in the 70's. One of my alum buddies worked on the Hill in DC and I was visiting. we both liked baseball and we saw that Mark was pitching for the Tigers against the Orioles. So we drove up to Charm City to watch the game in old Memorial Stadium. Great decision!! RIP Mark.

I caught "The Bird" during his rookie season in Detroit when I was in law school. The scene at ol' Tiger Stadium was awesome with the fans going nuts with his performance. Sorry to hear of such a tragic end.

Sad news. He will be missed.

I use to tell my sons about "The Bird" and they thought I was crazy. He was fun to watch.
