Tight battle at the top & Could Newcastle be relegated???
That would be quite the shocker! Just a few seasons removed from being a contender for the title....now battling relegation! (The downfall started with the Craig Bellamy debacle if you ask me)

Away matches still with Liverpool, Villa, Tottenham...
Could be bad.

Their goose is cooked. Bringing in Shearer, who has no managerial experience, was a bad move, IMO.

If you bring him in when you 6-10 in the table, ok I can agree with that move. But battling in the bottom 3 to 5, no way.

Effin a. If they would've lost or had a draw in that game Liverpool would've been in place to make a run at the title.

Newcastle United pretty much is in good position right now.
For Newcastle to be relegated Middlesborough would have to win its two remaining matches or Hull City would need a point from Bolton or Manchester United , neither of which are likely events.

If United get a win or draw against Arsenal, they have nothing to play for with Hull City
Maybe wishful thinking by me...

Not really wishful thinking by you, Arsenal has been playing terrible for the last three weeks.
You'll get your point.

He's not concerned about ManU getting the point to clinch - his wishful thinking involves ManU not playing for anything and giving Hull City a better chance to win and relegate Newcastle United.
