DOVER -- Delaware State University announced Thursday the hiring of Derek Carter as its new athletic director, filling a position that has been vacant since October.

Carter, one of 65 applicants for the post, comes to the school from historically black Bowie State University, where he has served as the athletic director since July 2003.

Don't know much about him. Bowie State has struggled in football as a DII. xeyebrowx

And he wasn't much help either. The football coach AND basketball coach were fired under his watch, and they were considered to be the best that BSU had. This development worries me some.

Yeah, the Bowie basketball coach actually had a winning record this year. We'll see how/if it works out.
