I anticipate doing this about 20 times during the regular season... I would add more for the post season, but that would be pointless since Sabathia and the Yankees wont be there, but then again thats probably an even more perfect time to laugh at it :D

6-5 now on a Matsui 2-run homer. With this lineup you can never count the Yanks out.

Gee, normally Sabathia waits until the post-season to stink this bad. xlolxxlolxxlolx
Maybe he thinks with the Yanks possibly on the outside looking in again come playoff time that he should get an early start on that. xlolxxlolxxlolx

If you look at CC's AL stats last year, sub .500 at 6-8 with a 3.83ERA, they certainly don't stand out as a 22 something million dollar guy. This isn't switching leagues and having low-rung teams see you for the 1st time anymore CC.

I am no Yankee or CC fan but you guys fail to realize he did the same thing for the first 4 games last year. After 4 games last year, he was 0-3 with a 13.50 ERA. He then went 6-5 with a 2.16 ERA for the rest of his AL stint. 2 of those losses he gave up 1 and 2 runs so not really his fault and in 2 of the 3 remaining no decisions he gave up only 1 run through 7 innings.
Post-season I agree with you he isn't very good but to say,"This isn't switching leagues and having low-rung teams see you for the 1st time anymore CC" is not accurate since he did well in the AL after his first 4 starts even if his team didn't help him. And is anyone really worth 22 Million.

To keep things in perspective, a lot of aces struggled in their opening-day starts. Brandon Webb and Cliff Lee both got shelled. Tim Lincecum only lasted three innings. Roy Halladay gave up five runs, even though he got the win. All of these guys will recover and be fine, and I'm sure Sabathia will, too.

Cliff Lee chose a good game to finally get it back together. He went toe-to-toe with Sabathia for six innings before the Indians finally broke it open in the 7th with nine runs off the Yankee bullpen.
Sabathia gave up only one run, but allowed ten baserunners and needed 122 pitches to get through just 5 2/3 innings.
