Pendland and Jones show off during McNeese football scrimmage on Saturday

Tailbacks Toddrick Pendland and Elrick Jones were center court on Saturday for McNeese State when the Cowboys held their second scrimmage of spring football.

This should be an interesting year with running backs in the league...

TXST still has a nice stock (i.e Bush, Canady), McNeese has Pendland while SHSU has Poullard back on the squad.

The league did lose Jay Lucas (SLU) and Byron Lawrence (NWST).

The league did lose Jay Lucas (SLU) and Byron Lawrence (NWST).

We lost Jay but should have an improved running game overall...better offensive line and a deeper stable of backs...Zeke Jones is a "manchild" at 240+ pounds, Jasper Ducksworth is a pinball, plus we have two very talented guys coming in the fall in Kenard Springer and Sam Fairley...Johnny Owen is also a capable runner.
