I was a wreck for about 2 hours Saturday night. Then I realized that WKU has a whole lot to be proud of. WKU became the 14th team in NCAA history to record 1,600 wins, wins 20 or more games for 5 straight seasons (39th overall), went to their 21st NCAA tournament, Back-2-Back 2nd round appearances, won their 5th tournament championship this decade (2000, 2003, 2005, 2008, and 2009), and beat Illinois. :Dxnodx

Coach McDonald tried to call timeout after the basket but they threw it in too quick and the game was over. Congrats to Gonzaga. They will lose to UNC so I'm not worried about them anymore. xsmiley_wix

Had they made more of their free throws, all of this would not have mattered. Or if they would have stopped the guy driving the lane past all 5 of the WKU players as well. But this was a great season for WKU and the program.

True.

You also have to remember that everytime that Gonzaga made a run, WKU responded and their incredible three-point shooting made up for that poor free throw shooting. xnodx

I was there cheering my ass off for the Toppers, even wore my WKU sweatshirt. Mendez-Valdez & Slaughter are both NBA quality players. WKU fans have a lot to be proud of & Big Red is a kick to watch. xthumbsupx
