In the 35th Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic a team of PA senior all-stars stunned what was considered one of the stronger USA All-Star teams in recent years, 30-21. Lehigh recruit, Joey Napoli (ranked #50 overall nationally) beat Kendrick Sanders of Florida who brought in a 190-8 career record, 7-0. Napoli came in second in the PIAA Championships a week earlier to junior Dylan Alton, who is also being recruited by Lehigh.
The USA team featured wrestlers ranked #1,2,3,4,5,12,22,30,51,52 and 75 overall in the countryin the Top 100.. PA only had 6 nationally ranked wresters ranging from #14,16,20,50,78, and 87. Best example of doing it on the mat, and press clippings be damned!!
