The NIT looks good this year, these two tournaments not so much.

Geez, these are like the New Orleans Bowl and Motor City Bowl equivalents in college basketball - sure they happen, but who really cares other than the parents of the players??? xlolx

Univ of Houston loves their CBI tournament. I think Tom Penders has a deal with them or something, so he keeps going to that tourney.

CIT looks like a great chance for postseason play for mid-majors who'd never get a call from the NIT.

I knew that these existed, but now that JMU is involved I have a few more questions.

Primarily, who pays for all of this? We luck out and get a first round home game, but if we have to travel next round, we probably don't make enough money in the first round to pay for it.

I wouldn't mind if we lost money for the big dance or even the NIT, but I'm not crazy about throwing money at a possible CIT championship.

I think I read somewhere that JMU is paying $28,000 to host a first round game in this tournament. I don't know what they bring in at the Convo per game though...
