Wofford's Lees Rebounds from Knee Surgery
Perhaps nobody on the Wofford football team was more eager to start spring practice than Sean Lees.
The 5-foot-11, 198-pound halfback’s 2008 season lasted all of one play. Lees suffered a surgery-requiring injury to his right knee on the Terriers’ first kickoff return in the opening game against Presbyterian.
“It definitely wasn’t the best way to start the season,” said Lees, a native of Libertyville, Ill., who is a rising junior. “It was kind of rough not getting to be (on the field), but I think it was a good learning experience. It made me appreciate the opportunity that I’ve got here, and now I’m just working that much harder.”
