Goose Creek Gators beat Gaffney last night in the South Carolina High School AAAA
State Championship game by the score of 63-58.

Gators were ranked most of the year at #1, and Gaffney #2. Gaffney has an explosive offense and the Gators have the #1 defense in SC.

The Lady Gators were within one game of playing in the state title game, also. They lost in the semis.

The boys team finished with a record of 27-2, the girls were 26-2.

Oh well I'll just have to polish my schools 16 football state championship trophies and 3 B-ball state championships to pass the time,

My High School team is the #3 seed in the upcomming tourney. Usually they are very bad and once even appeared on Sports Centers Did you know for the longest Boys Basketball losing streak in the country.

Congrats my Hillborough Big Red lost in the Regionals to 5A state Finalist Clearwater High led by FSU commitment Okaro White (Cheap Plug xlolx). Not bad for a team that won only 5 games a couple of years ago.

It actually four B-Ball state championships. Gaffney won back in late 40's.

If it's any consolation I would have gone to Goose Creek had I not, 10 years ago, moved from Goose Creek to Charleston to Rock Hill to Gaffney.

Yeah, I have lots of friends in Gaffney, and the Indians are my favorite upper state football team. Especially when they play Byrnes and Summerville.

Our principal, Jimmy Huskey is from Gaffney.
