Southeastern Football Officially Opens Spring Practice

HAMMOND – Looking to build on its best season since 2004, Southeastern Louisiana officially opened spring football practice on Monday as head coach Mike Lucas welcomed back 44 letterwinners and 15 starters.

Coming off a 5-7 season, the Lions will practice 15 times with the annual spring game scheduled for March 28. Southeastern, which will practice three days each week, will two scrimmages on March 14 and March 21.

So, will the Lions' offense step it up this year? Plenty of starters on both sides of the ball...

I'm expecting REALLY big things from the Lions' defense, one of the best units in the league based on who they have returning. Is Tommy Connors going to get some NFL looks?
