Appalachian St.'s Moore speaks on faith
Appalachian State football coach Jerry Moore, who guided the Mountaineers to three consecutive national championships this decade, said he didn’t always receive such warm receptions as he did Saturday morning at St. Mark’s Church in Burlington
“People didn’t stand up when they introduced me in 2004, I can assure of that,” Moore said during comments to a group that might have eclipsed 600 as part of a non-denominational breakfast for community men.
Moore explained during his spirit-based message how his faith has guided him through successful stages of his career.
