The AGS Board of Directors would like to announce the return of the "FCS News Feeds" forum. This forum is "for talk about news from FCS-only sources. Threads are automatically generated from these sources."

Unlike the previous appearance of this forum, the news feed threads do not appear in "New Posts" and are only available for those who click on the forum itself.

AGS members are encouraged to submit FCS News Links by going to:

I can see this being a very good thing, especially once the season hits. More importantly, that submit FCS News links thing is a good idea, it will help those of newsaholics when it comes to FCS, a way to submit the news and bring it about on a greater FCS scale.

I like the new board. Good work by the admins making it an addition and not an alteration to our current viewing. Much appreciated.

I like it too. I wouldn't mind it being in the New Posts link. The threads are more appropriate for AGS than some of the other stuff not about football. Is other stuff going to be removed from the New Posts link?

Thanks!

The BOD put the News Feeds in place on a trial basis. Thus far, the feedback sounds positive. The BOD will further examine what flexibility is available with the new setup we have in place.

Cool! I subscribed to the CSN Log email and it arrived today. This is what it looks like (this is just one of the entries, it emails you the entire day's worth of headlines):

Agree that it's a terrific addition. Now can we get some Spring colors in here? Winter is almost over and Autumn is long gone. :D

The feeds are only good though if people actively help fill the feeds up with news. If this occurs, it will be a very viable thing here on the boards.

The "powers that be" have asked me to be more involved once more in posting news. Will see what I can do, though I can not always guarantee active involvement in the process...I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Probably need a few more people involved in the news gathering process...
