Lawrence Sidbury, Jr. (DE/OLB) looked FANTASTIC at the combine, running the fastest 40 time of all D-linemen. he ran a 4.64. the next fastest guy was at 4.66. that's pretty good for guys that size. these 40 times don't really mean much since they'll rarely run that far in a game, but it still could help his stock in the draft, being "the best" at something.

apparently he's being projected as an outside LB in a 3-4. Demarcus Ware-esque.

Good to see a CAA guy do well.

Just curious (and a bit lazy), how is his 40 compared to the OLBs?

Maybe the Steelers and Tomlin will pick him up. Pittsburgh runs a 3-4 and they rely on LBs that can pass rush.

Looks like he goes late 2nd-mid 3rd round. That workout makes him the clear cut top FCS player based on his performance since the NC game. He, Barden, and Bomar will end up as the first three off the board in my opinion.

Described as SI.com as a "Riser" after his performance.

And the second fastest guy (Connor Barwin of Cincinnati) only played one year at DL. He's a converted tight end.

Quarterbacks
Rhett Bomar/Sam Houston State
Mike Reilly/Central Washington

Running Backs
Rashad Jennings/Liberty
Bernard Scott/Abilene Christian

Wide Receivers-Tight Ends
Ramses Barden/WR/Cal-Poly: Barden is an imposing 6-foot-6, 227-pound pass catcher with reliable hands. He presents himself as a terrific red zone threat who out-muscles defenders for the reception. The faster Barden runs at the combine, the earlier he'll be drafted.

Dominique Edison/WR/Stephen F. Austin
Brian Mandeville/TE/Northeastern

Offensive Line
Joel Bell/OT/Furman
Cornelius Lewis/OG/Tennessee State
Cecil Newton/C/Tennessee State

Defensive Linemen
Chris Baker/DL/Hampton

Lawrence Sidbury Jr./DE/Richmond: Sidbury was a dominant pass rusher on the FCS level and unstoppable the past two seasons. He capped off his Richmond career by registering four sacks in the Spiders' national championship victory over Montana. Sidbury's game is based on speed and quickness. Look for him to put up great workout numbers during the combine.

Linebackers
Lee Robinson/Alcorn State
Jovan Belcher/Maine

Defensive Backs
Domonique Johnson/DB/Jackson State
Ladarius Webb/DB/Nicholls State

Mike Reilly is the D-2 kid that nearly led CWU to an upset over Montana. xeekx

I don't know if it's been mentioned but Nicholls State's Webb was 1st among cornerbacks in the 40 (4.46) and one of the "top performers" in two other categories; as he was 7th in the three cone drill and 8th in the 20 yard shuttle. I also noticed that Liberty's Rashad Jennings was a "top performer" in five things (bench press, broad jump, three cone drill, 20 yard shuttle, 60 yard shuttle).

I would be shocked if Belcher and Newton get drafted.
