I'm pretty sure Coastal Carolina can beat this team.
Good luck to you xthumbsupx
P.S. I wish we would add Coastal to the SOCON to round the conference out at 10 football schools...plus I enjoy the Eagles v. Beach Chickens games.

What did you expect him to say? They are a horrible team that shouldn't even be considered an FBS team?

There is no reason CCU should not mop the floor with those wimps.

First off, I think Coastal can compete with Kent State. Who knows, they may even pull off the upset. Also, I think CCU will be much improved this season.
However, our achilles heel is our rush defense. Don't know where we ranked in rushing yds allowed this past season, but it was low (Kirk knows). Kent State has a RB (Eugene Jarvis) who ran for 1669 yards in '07 & close to 900 yds in '08.
IF we can limit the rushing yards on defense, I think we have a chance.
BTW GATA, I like your way of thinking. Maybe Coastal can get in the next time expansion rolls around. xthumbsupx

Funny, the article refers to Kent St and Penn St as FCS teams.

Coastal has a real good shot at Kent, pardon the pun.xeekx
When G-W signed the Buffalo game, I thought the same thing, being the Buffalo reeked then. Turner Gill has really turned that program around, it'll be a nice paycheck anyway. G-W will probably play better in Raleigh than Buffalo.
