Was still amazed that Dook after 2 losses last week and 4 of 5 can only drop 3/4 spots.

As well as WF for losing to NC State and droping 1/not moving.

It is funny, Florida State lost to Wake and they dropped out. But they were 25 so it really doesn't matter much.

I hope FSU can finish the season strong and maybe get a win or two (unless they play UNC) in the ACC Tourny to punch their ticket in the NCAA Tourny come March. They along with Miami have been two of the most dangerous teams in the ACC outside of the usual suspects (UNC, Duke, Wake, etc.) but have fallen short in years past on selection Sunday.

right now I'm just hoping for a ticket to the dance. A win or two in the ACC tourney would be good as well. Not being in the 8/9 game will be a success to me. xlolx

How laughable is Memphis at 5? Do people forget they play in the CUSA and their season ended back in December after they lost to Syracuse? They lost to Gtown and home to Syracuse (both middle road Big East teams). Memphis is a complete non-factor this year. The 14 or 15 seed that gets them has a 50-50 shot of winning.

They're still riding the success of last years team. The rankings won't matter come tournament time. They obviously won't be a threat in the tournament. I would guess a 2nd round exit. Probably the first 1 or 2 seed to get knocked off.

#5 is high but they did thrash a solid Gonzaga team on the road and a low seed that gets them won't have a 50-50 shot, unless they play a slow tempo game.

Until the C-USA has another team emerge, you can count on 15-20 easy wins for Memphis every year. I'm curious to see what comes out of UAB with all the great recruiting that Mike Davis has done in a short time there.

Davidson is in a similar situaton in the SoCon. While they did suffer a loss to CoC, and The Citadel could challenge them if Curry doesn't play, they can still count on 18-20 in conference. Throw in a few OOC cupcakes and a possible OOC upset and your looking at a 25-5 team.

Mizzou has really rocketed up the polls, they went from NR two weeks ago to top 10 this week and you could make a case for them to be even higher considering the struggles on the teams in front of them like Duke and Wake.
