I was watching ESPN today and they were saying that Griffey is in talks with the M's. I am actually in Seattle right now and everyone I talk to would love him coming back.

As a baseball fan, it would be nice to see. Too bad he left in the first place.

Totally agree, he was my biggest sports hero growing up. It broke my heart when he left. :(

I wouldn't mind seeing him finish his career in Seattle.

Maybe Jay Buhner, Tino Martinez, Edgar Martinez, Randy Johson and A-fraud can get the ol' gang back together xlolx
I'd love to see him back there... to be honest, I think he's been one of the few legit MLB stars of the past two decades.

Same here. I remember going out and playing homerun derby in the fields and we would all turn our caps backwards and that the number 24 on little league teams was always the most sought after jersey.
When the whole A-Rod steroid thing broke last week and they were talking about how big of a blow it was to baseball because he could possibly legitimize the home run record again I didn't think it was a big deal. If it ever turned out that Griffey juiced (which i firmly don't believe he did) I don't think I would ever be able to watch baseball again...but that's enough pessimism, I hope he does come back to Seattle to finish out his career.

He is aware that the Kingdome is gone, right?

Griffey is the perfect example of what happens to a player who does not juice up. He was great in his prime (I think top 5 all time) but his body couldn't hold up to his all out play and his numbers faded. He is what is good in baseball.

I hope he signs with Seattle... (just for fun) tickets sales would go up a bit xnodx

Either ESPN or SI dot coms are reporting that Atlanta has entered the picture for Griffey's services.
