Holy Cross releases schedule- OFFICIALLY

Some changes were made to the schedule for this coming year. Originally HC was supposed to open at Northeastern, however, Northeastern had a scheduling conflict with Boston College which forced them to change the Holy Cross game date. This is what the HC schedule now looks like.

Sept. 5 GEORGETOWN
Sept. 12 SACRED HEART
Sept. 19 HARVARD
Sept. 26 Open
Oct. 3 at Northeastern
Oct. 10 at Brown
Oct . 17 DARTMOUTH
Oct. 24 COLGATE
Oct. 31 at Fordham
Nov. 7 at Lehigh
Nov. 14 LAFAYETTE
Nov. 21 at Bucknell

The first long trip does not come until the Fordham game, almost 2 months into the season. While I would have liked to have seen a better team than Sacred Heart on the schedule, at least we will most likely start the year 2-0, instead of 0-2 like we did last year.

This is a great schedule for alumni around the Worcester and Boston area, as it would be feasible to attent ever game with the exception of the Fordham, Lehigh, and Bucknell games.

Also, huge advantage that we get Lafayette and Colgate at home instead of at their place.

Just about 6 months till camp in August. You can bet the Cross will be a huge force in the PL this year with Dom and others returning.

Sept 5 vs. Georgetown? Having been at Fitton for Georgetown's last win there (1999) and a few since then, it is baffling why this series has gone south, but GU's last two at Fitton weren't close (48-6, 55-0). Why can't they do better in Worcester?

My money is on Holy Cross losing to Harard but beating Northeastern. After seeing how tough Holy Cross played UMASS last season they match up well with Northeastern. That being said for whatever reason Harvard had Holy Cross number for quite some time.

I think it has something to do with the team they play in Worcester, rather than Worcester itself.

A loss is a loss, but that's still a sizeable variance compared to the same period at, say, Colgate:
